The next morning, the party awake together. Refreshed from their spell induced slumber. They dust the frost from their bodies, although they don’t feel cold. There beside the hawthorn tree, Jacobus and Sara stand cradling three infants between them in their arms. They are younger looking, happy and beaming with joy. Around their feet lie three caskets brimming with gold.

“I think It’s time for us to leave this family in peace,” says Myrrdin.

Everyone pays their respects to the new Brooker family before walking to their respective horses. The party mounts up, except for Artos, who looks nervous.

“Go on,” says Myrrdin.

With one leap, Artos is sitting atop Hengroen, in the saddle and ready to go. He looks proud and pleased with himself.

“See, you’re a natural!” says Diana.

“He’ll still need to learn to do it without my magic,” Myrrdin mutters to himself as they ride off toward Urien’s Palace.
